Symptoms

ODA Patching failed with below message

/opt/oracle/oak/bin/oakcli update -patch 12.1.2.9.0 --database

INFO: Running prepatching on node 1
INFO: Completed pre-install scripts
...
...

INFO: 2017-02-10 12:49:37: Patching 11.2.0.4 Database Homes on the Node naap11m1

Found the following 11.2.0.4 homes possible for patching:

OPATCH utility does not exist in ODA patch unzip location

ls -l /opt/oracle/oak/pkgrepos/orapkgs/OPATCH/<OPATCH_VERSION>/Patches/6880880

Cause

Due to space issue in root filesystem a cleanup repo was performed or Unpack of ODA bundle patch was not successful.

Solution

Unpack the ODA bundle patch again and check for opatch files on both nodes

ls -l /opt/oracle/oak/pkgrepos/orapkgs/OPATCH/<OPATCH_VER>/Patches/6880880
