Symptoms

When generating reports from Report Infoview in MSU Accounting (like "Cumulative SCCP Transactions Distribution by Customer") on long periods (like 1 month), the action does not complete correctly.

Following error displayed in BO tool:

error = ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 640 in tablespace TEMP . (WIS 10901)

Cause

When BO report generation is launched, the temp tablespace is completely used, up to the crash of the report generation as it still tries to use tablespace. This occurs despite the fact that the tablespace size has been increased.

Solution

As this kind of error occurs when generating reports on long periods, it is recommended in such case to launch the report on shorter periods and manage results in post treatment to consolidate provided data.
