 Minor IMT BUS failure on the B BUS.

Please perform the procedure listed below and provide the output from the below commands to help determine the cause of the minor IMT-B bus issue.

1) Please have the site support verify all HIPR2 PROC LED is green and that all other LED’s appear in the proper lit state.
2) Check all system cards on each shelf that the IMT B LED is green and NOT red or amber.
3) If any system cards are found to have anything but a green IMT B LED lit, then enter the command below to determine the status of the card and its connection to the IMT-B bus.
o rept-stat-card:loc=xxxx:mode=full
4) If a system card is found to be disconnected from the IMT-B bus enter the below command to attempt reconnect to the IMT-B bus.
o conn-imt:loc=xxxx:bus=b
5) If the fault does not clear against card then replace the affected card.
6) If the fault still does not clear then replace the HIPR2 (xx10) that would be servicing the affected card following the card replacement procedure for replacing HIPR2 cards.

If issue still exists then please provide the output from the commands listed below.

Cause

 After reviewing the data it looks like the non-provisioned cards in slots 5212 & 5218 are causing Violation errors as seen in the output from the lvl1 full IMT stats output and causing IMT Rx Violation Errors and IMT Rx Packet CRC Errors as seen in the hipr2err report - sshelf=5100:eshelf=5300 per shelf output.
 
Could you please unseat them or remove them from the card slots and see if the minor IMT alarm clears and cleans up the IMT stats?
 

Solution

After reviewing the data it looks like the non-provisioned cards in slots 5212 & 5218 are causing Violation errors as seen in the output from the lvl1 full IMT stats output and causing IMT Rx Violation Errors and IMT Rx Packet CRC Errors as seen in the hipr2err report - sshelf=5100:eshelf=5300 per shelf output, could you please unseat or remove them from the card slots and see if the minor IMT alarm clears and cleans up the IMT stats?

Please see below my findings and the reason I suspect these cards.

Also, I see where there are other non-provisioned cards slotted in the STP, you might consider un-seating these cards as they can contribute to IMT errors/alarms. A complete list of these cards is below.

After cards 5212 & 5218 were removed, problem cleared.
