Trying to Ent-assoc and seeing E2887 Cmd Rej: Failed Accessing Maintenance Data

What card slot are you trying to enter this association against? Confirm the card type and part number of card that is in the respective card slot?

Cause

The issue you are experiencing is due to the incorrect card type installed in slots 1212, 1214 & 1217 based on output from rept-stat-card command in the capture file provided.

From the rtrv-stp capture provided you can see that the part number(s) are 870-1293-XX HSL (LIM-ATM) and not ENET type cards with these part numbers - E5-ENET module (P/N 870-2212-xx) or the E5-ENET-B module (P/N 870-2971-xx)

Solution

To stop the command rejection error E2887, please insert the correct card type 870-2212-XX or 870-2971-XX to support the software card type entered.

From the rtrv-trbl command output, there are severity 1’s being reported against the cards in question stating that they are not of DCM class cards.

The rtrv-card command you can see that the cards are assigned as ENET / IPSG, but the hardware installed does not support that card type.
