Symptoms

After motherboard replacement, the system hits error:
   ERROR: Unexpected non-zero POK value, adjusting state machine

Cause

This error can result from motherboard FPGA problems.  This error message indicates a benign incident on powerup if only occurs once during the powerup.

Solution

In this case, the resolution was to replace the faulty replacement motherboard.
