Symptoms

ssc_exavm -create -xmlDataFile <xml file> failed due error

svccfg: Pattern 'svc:/system/oes/id:default' doesn't match any instances or services

oes services exist and it is online

svcs -a | grep oes
online Dec_26 svc:/system/oes/id:default

Changes

None

Cause

This is due unpublished Bug 25290295: zone creation err. in svccfg oes/id;2.3.0.991,M7-IO-App ; a rerun passed still under development investigation

Solution

Destroy the zone

ssc_exavm -destroy -virtualGuests <zone name>

Re-create the zone

ssc_exavm -create -xmlDataFile <xml file>
