Applies to:

Oracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Software - Version 9.0.4 to 10.1.5 [Release 9.0 to 10.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There are no information from one IMF of the system monitored by PIC on views of ProDiag.

Changes

Cause

The process "inetmerge", that allows to exchange information with ProDiag shows no connection for both servers IMF-1A and IMF-1B from the WL1 box.

The command "inetmstat" displays the state of inetmerge shows the following result for both IMF servers:

nodeId     InetMerge State    dir      dSeq dTime  updTime info
IMF-1A      DownConnecting   From  0       0.00    07:25:28
IMF-1B      DownConnecting   From  0       0.00    07:25:28

By checking on both IMF servers, the process "inetmerge" does not run.

Solution

Connect on both IMF servers and as cfguser, start the process inetmerge with the command:

pm.set on inetmerge

Then, check the status from WL1, as cfguser:

inetmstat

Expected output:

IMF-1A Active From 0 0.00 04:19:38
IMF-1B Active From 0 0.00 04:19:38

Then, verify whether there are data displayed on ProDiag for these equipment.
