Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Hardware) - Version EAGLE 44.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The customer is experiencing this alarm "LIMs HAVE BEEN DENIED SCCP SERVICE" for one single EAGLE.

Changes

Cause

There is an issue in the communication somewhere thru the IMT bus.

Because from time to time the display of the RTDB level for some DSM cards in rept-stat-db:db=mps:display=all is blank.

It means the RTDB level is not properly provided by the card to the IMT bus.

The trouble "tvg_hipr.c" has been also observed from the HIP2 card 3110 after the card 3113 rebooted, it means the HIPR2 card could not get the card capacity.

The MASP activity has been switchover and 2 x DSM cards have rebooted since this action:

  • 4211 with obit hw_ixp which means an issue with buffers
  • 3113 wit obit hw_ixp

Also we can see the troubles lb_mgr.c which is about the load balancing. This trouble is issued because the option MFC is not set to ON.

Solution

To enable the MFC option to stop the troubles "lb_mgr.c" and avoid the communication issue between the DSM cards and the HIPR2 cards.

The command is :

chg-stpopts:on=mfc
