Invalid status was present when a status accepted frame was received and the device lock was not held.

Engineering Text:
Invalid status was present in sav_chan_stat when a status accepted frame was received and the device lock was not held. SNO NOTE: ASC_FSC_INV_SAV_CH_STA_ST_ACPT is indicated as general status appeared valid so the error detected appears to be an ASC problem and this resulted in a call to asc_sno because the state of the ASC is in question.

Solution

 This error can occur if one path is issuing motion commands to a drive and another path comes in and issues motion commands to the drive. This seems to occur more on RTDs.

 Solution: verify that you are not trying to use the drive as an RTD and a native attached drive on a mainframe host at the same time.
