Symptoms


SLConsole shows the drive flashing in intermittent Yellow and Green.


In the log Snapshot the Eventlog shows several RC=1116 messages :-


2016-11-23T11:50:59.679 error 1.1.4.1.3 1116 "Drive is not online - checkState dst" move root scsi1 30072401


Changes


 


Cause


 The drive tray was insecurely locked in position.


Solution


The field engineer powered off the tape drive and re-positioned the drive tray.
