Symptoms

Errors Reported in system logs:

2016-11-11 10:16:50 smbd[1638] error Failed to publish share (xxxxxxxx) in AD: cn=(xxxxxxxx),dc=ad,dc=kutc,dc=kansai-u,dc=ac,dc=jp (Insufficient access).

 

Cause

Permissions issue.

 

Solution

In order for the users to share a folder.  They have to be part of the Administrators and Server Operators groups.

If not, access will be denied and these messages show that those users do not have permission to share the folders.  So you can ignore this messages.
