Following is screenshot which shows EMOC reporting high temperature issue. NOTE:
If actual temperature is around threshold 60, warning message will be thrown from EMOC. In case actual temperature is higher than threshold 65, systems may power off to protect themselves. ChangesNo Changes. CauseThis issue is caused due to following Hardware ILOM bug 21884937 BUG 21884937 - X5-2 overheating with fault.chassis.temp.fail@/SYS/MB/T_OUT_SLOT2
SolutionWorkaround : To fix this issue enable following setting under /SP/policy in ILOM to improve PCI cooling. -> set /SP/policy ENHANCED_PCIE_COOLING_MODE=enabled
Solution: This issue is fixed in SW 1.7.0 (3.2.7.26.a-r112579) ILOM version which is included in in January PSU 2017 or higher. Please upgrade to latest Exalogic PSU.
