Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2199497.1 : ODA: ASM Rebalance May Run More Than 48 hours After Disk Replacement
This issue is not limit to ODA but general diskgroup with ACFS volume group. But all ODA 12c Customer will hit this issue. SymptomsThe ASM Disk Group rebalance speed is slow and averages about 16M/s (about 1G/min) when ACFS filesystem exist, which correlates to rebalance needing over 50 hours to finish. CauseThis is unpublished ACFS bug 22695831 which causes the rebalance on related disk group can only using power 1 even though asm_power_limit is set to a higher value. SolutionWe have included the fix in ODA 12.1.2.9 Upgrade to ODA 12.1.2.9 or later version can solve the issue.
