Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version EAGLE 44.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Some alarms are no longer inhibited but yet they are still marked as being inhibited
Cause
The MASP has definitely a wrong status for some devices that cannot be cleared anymore because they are not real.
Regarding the request for an RCA, we would need our design support to investigate and it won't be possible because the Eagle is not in a supported release.
All what we can deduct is that you are experiencing an abnormal behavior, it looks like a bug.
However I am still thinking that your MASP B is suspicious and maybe have created the issue when you were executing some commands to inhibit and then later uninhibit the alarms.
For instance, having some commands been entered while being in simplex mode at a particular moment ?
Solution
Upgrade to the latest release and apply the below procedure in the meantime :
One procedure to clear the issue :
- unplug the GPSM card of standby MASP, then unplug the TDM card of standby MASP.
- after a couple of minutes replug TDM card and then the GPSM card of standby MASP
wait for it to come up
- unplug the GPSM card of active MASP, then unplug the TDM card of active MASP; this will cause a MASP switchover.
- after a couple of minutes replug TDM card and then the GPSM card of new standby MASP.
wait for it to come up
- unplug and replug the MDAL card (loc 1117).
- Validate with a test:
- rept-stat-alm:display=inhb
- unhb-alm:dev=card:loc=3108
- rept-stat-alm:display=inhb
If it does not work, the solution is to delete the device being still marked as inhibited (for instance a SLK) and then recreate it.
