Symptoms

SLS8045E oVTCS_server/7808: SQL error:Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/data/ovtcs/sql_connect' (2)(HY000) Return Code:2002

Cause

When a VSMc process attempts to access the CDS stored in MySQL, it establishes connections to a MySQL process called mysqld. If for any reason
the mysqld process stops and restarts, then the previously established connections won't work resulting in the MySQL server gone away messages.

Solution

The fix for this issue has been committed to the 7.3.1.1.0 branch at revision level 42527.
