Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2193411.1 : Fujitsu M10-1: Upgrading XCP Firmware Using BUI (Browser User Interface) Fails after Replacing the Motherboard Unit
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-13424421901> Applies to:Fujitsu M10-1 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsUpgrading XCP 2013 firmware to the latest XCP 2320 fails when using the Browser User Interface (BUI). ChangesA failed Fujitsu M10-1 system board, also known as Motherboard Unit, was replaced. CauseThe replacement system board contained XCP2013, a version of firmware normally not seen in the field. First XCP firmware seen at GA was XCP2041. The most likely cause for the failed update is that the XCP2013 version did not have its BUI code completed and tested. The failed upgrade is not caused by failing hardware, there is no need for ordering further hardware components SolutionTo fix the issue, and upgrade to the latest XCP firmware, revert to upgrading the XCP firmware using the CLI interface. The CLI interface is capable of upgrading from XCP 2013: Oct 7 14:54:18 xscf_name Event: SCF:XCP update has been completed (XCP version=2320:last version=2013)
