Applies to:

Sun ZFS Storage 7320 - Version All Versions and later
7000 Appliance OS (Fishworks)

Symptoms

Upon a reboot of the ZFS Appliance loses Target CHAP secret

Cause

Bug 24502647 - iscsi chap target password on zfs storage appliance gets deleted after reboot

Solution

Fix available in Appliance Firmware Micro Release 2013.1.6.7

Fix also available in (future) Appliance Firmware Release 2013.1.7.0

Workaround:

1)  Resetting the CHAP information from the BUI would work. This should not be followed by a networking interface change, which will trigger the bug.

2)  Disabling authentication on the iSCSI client.
