Symptoms

EPAP is responding with error 1005 (Return Code 1005) while provisioning.

Error:

Customer provisioning tool is returning the error code 1005.

Cause

No timeout specified in the transactions returning rc 1005

During provisioning on EPAP, transactions executed via batch file without a timeout returns the error code 1005 (Write_Unavailable) due to current write transaction being executed. Transactions with timeout of greater than 5 milliseconds allow the command to wait until the transaction is completed before sending in a new write transaction.

Solution

Advised customer to add timeout of 5 or more in the provisioning commands.
