Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2192089.1 : Event ID 10051 Route Deployment Failed Is Raised After Adding Host Route
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-13459222781> Applies to:Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 6.0 to DSR 7.0 [Release DSR 6.0 to DSR 7.0]Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsAfter adding a host route with a network mask 255.255.255.255 [in Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation, /32], the Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) will raise a minor alarm with Event ID 10051 indicating "Route deployment failed" with ERR_INFO indicating "Failed to deploy route: <host_ip>/255.255.255.255 (net) via <gateway_ip>" In the NOAM Graphical User Interface (GUI) under Main Menu / Configuration / Network / Routes, the new route will have a Configuration Status of 'Configured' for the affected server(s). ChangesThe host route was just manually added via GUI. CauseWhen adding the host route in the NOAM / Main Menu / Configuration / Network / Routes / [Insert] screen, the GUI does not prevent the user from selecting a Route Type of 'net' in combination with the Netmask value that can only be used for a single host [255.255.255.255]. Although the action appears successful at the GUI, the platform rejects the update but still allows the kernel to show the route in its route list. The 10051 Event ID is raised as the application and the platform audits identify the conflict. SolutionTo correct this condition, access the NOAM / Main Menu / Configuration / Network / Routes screen and choose the specific tab (server group or individual servers) where the route was originally added. Select (highlight) the host route raising the alarm, and select Delete. After an audit cycle of up to 5 minutes, the 10051 Minor alarm will clear. Once the alarm clears, the host route can be added through the NOAM GUI--this time correctly choosing the Route Type as 'host.'
