Tekelec

Symptoms

Customers seeking procedure for creation of custom LINUX/CLi users.

Cause

Oracle has reviewed customer requests and creating custom LINUX/CLi user credentials is not recommended or supported.

Oracle provides adequate option to perform day to day maintenance operation via GUI.

Solution

Since, the product is on Linux environment, technically you can create user but this has not been tested on product by Engineering or the Product Validation team. Doing so may result in loss of product operation and functionality.

Complexity and complications related to this cannot be assured from ORACLE.

The SDM product is End of Life in Sustaining Support which means no new features or enhancements are considered. Customers with SDM SPR product should consider migrating to Oracle Communications User Data Repository (UDR). For more information, consult your Oracle Sales representative.
