Symptoms

This problem was detected with SP firmware 3.2.5.9 on Mx-32 server which is FW level 9.5.x.

SP configured as ASR client fails to connect to ASR endpoint transport.oracle.com when using proxy authentication.

ILOM configured as ASR client using proxy authentication:

Cause

After verifying proxy logs, it was found "proxy user" received in the authentication process was malformed.

Specifically the "proxy-user" and "proxy-host" properties of /SP/clients/asr target were being concatenated, causing proxy authentication to fail.

Solution

Solution is to upgrade firmware to the latest available version (9.6.6.a or later).
