Symptoms

From upgrade utility, xDR Builder installation is failing.

Cause

IXP base server cannot reach DWS (aka DRS) servers:

From puAlterTable log (cf.follow -20 $PROC/puAlterTable/trace.dat):

0926:141026.709 TR-V OCISessionBegin() error: (1017) ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied [24493/StoConnection.cpp:313]
0926:141026.709 STO2 Unable to connect datawarehouse: User -> NOT_HERE, DWH -> IXP0001 (DwhID:5320) [24493/StoDbAccess.cpp:34]

Connection to DWS using wallet is not working:

sqlplus /@IXP0001

ERROR:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Solution

Run procedure below from maintenance guide:

"7.16 Modify Database Password" for newly added DRS and once for NSP database.
"7.17 Sync Database Credentials" for all servers (Mediation and Acquisition)
