Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2186600.1 : One Of Both M3UA Links Does Not Come Up After a Far End Failure
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-13250363601> Applies to:Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version EAGLE 43.x and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsEagle does not answer the received ASPUP messages for one of the M3UA links. ****16-08-24 03:01:08****

CauseIt is due to the PR 234833; Eagle considers the link is still active so it is rejecting the ASPUP message coming from the far end. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
It is observed that sometimes IPSG-M3UA link is not getting auto recovered after a link failure During such events IPSG-M3UA SLK/ASP recovery attempt by far end is failing as the Eagle continuously outputs UIM 1333 for the link with "REASON=Refused Management Blocking (Error Code=0x0d)" and "DIAGNOSTIC=ASP-ACTIVE rcvd; SLK OOS-MT-DSBLD" while link is not actually deactivated on the Eagle. Eagle is outputting this UIM for more than 2 minutes (which is greater than the MTP restart delay that STP can introduce when link has an unstable history) until a dact-slk/act-slk is performed on the Eagle that resolves the problem (means link is getting recovered normally after dact-slk/act-slk action on Eagle). 6384.1333 CARD 1311,B8 INFO UA RCVD MSG DISCARDED IP CONNECTION NAME=i1hb1311b8cust ADPTR=M3UA REASON=Refused Management Blocking (Error Code=0x0d) DIAGNOSTIC=ASP-ACTIVE rcvd; SLK OOS-MT-DSBLD Report Date:13-10-17 Time:11:27:10
SolutionPending the upgrade of the Eagle to solve the issue, there is a workaround : dact-slk/act-slk or delete and re-enter the slk References<BUG:19116140> - [234833]IPSG-M3UA SLK NOT AUTO RECOVERINGAttachments This solution has no attachment |
