Changes

Changing the MB, Disk Back Plane (DBP) or Power Supply 0 without following the replacement procedures can cause this issue.

Cause

This has been noticed in early X5-2 systems that have been sitting for long periods of time prior to power up due to the off gassing of the rubber gasket causing the DBP to corrode and not be able to hold the TLI.

Solution

Determine if any parts have failed in the system such as the PS0, or the DBP or the MB or if any were replaced.

Replace any failed components.

A Field Engineer will need to be sent to the site to set the TLI using "How to update the Serial Number on Oracle x64 platforms (Doc ID 1364359.1)"
