Symptoms

Since the upgrade to 46.3, the Bus B is regularly fluctuating.

Cause

- The MIM cards 1211 and 4201 were generating too much noise on the IMT bus, and likely depending on the number of cards using the Bus A or the Bus B, the corresponding bus was rebooting to clear the issue.

- Also, 2 x STC cards are producing many errors on the IMT bus :
Statistics taken the 09/08/2016 and cumulated over 30 min :

- 2 x HIPR2 cards indicated some congestion, please check this UAM once you will have replaced the two STC cards 5217 and 5218.

= Several cards are indicating issues which are impacting the IMT bus

Solution

- Replace the two MIM cards producing errors on the IMT bus (rept-imt-lvl1)
- Clear the important IMT errors produced by the 2 x STC cards, by replacing them
- Check the stop of the IMT congestion on HIPR2 cards 1109 and 2310 after the errors on the IMT bus are cleared.
- Monitor every day for 2 weeks the obits to check the card 1217 is not rebooting with the module “pmtc_mgr.c” (rtrv-obit:loc=:num=10 to get the latest 10 x Obits)
