Symptoms

HP server was down for few minutes with following error message

Getting error message BIOS/Hardware heath degraded in the ilo

Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (Board 0 Processor 2 APIC ID 0x0000003A Bank 0x00000000 Status 0xB2000000'00000005 Address 0x00000000'00000000 Misc 0x00000000'00000000) in /var/log/message

Cause

Following might be the cause of the issue:

Issue with memory slot.
Processor is faulty.

Solution

Update the firmware of Bios to latest & need to change the memory in different slots. If issue still persist then need to replace the Processor 2(mother board) of the server.
