Symptoms

The 'show memory' command output states that total memory for the system is 4Gb even though it is known that 8Gb have been installed.

Changes

None.

Cause

 The 6.x VxWorks kernels are all 32-bit and can recognize only 4Gb of memory even though more may be installed.

Solution

 Upgrade to SCz 7.x.  The 7.x kernels are 64-bit and can recognize 8Gb (and more) of memory.
