Symptoms

The SL150 Library is inoperative and display this message : ROBOT HAND NOT EMPTY - FAULT CODE 9105

Changes

 

Cause

Possible Causes :

-- Tape cartridge could be stuck in the robot hand assembly
-- Obstructions on the robotic path
 
0115 - ROBOT_HAND_NOT_EMPTY - Fault Code:9105

Probable Failed Components
1. Robot

Actions to Take
Inspect/replace robot.
Be careful removing magazines.
There may be an interference between the cartridge and the robot.

 

 

Solution

-- Inform the customer to power off the library and remove the robot assembly from the library manually. (Refer KB : 1473774.1, robot remove / replacement)
-- Inspect the robot hand physically for any stuck tape.
-- Remove the stuck tape from the robot hand manually.
-- Re-seat the robot assembly back in the library.
-- Power up the library and check the robot initialization process.

 

In this case the customer observed that a tape cartridge was stuck in the hand assembly, they removed it manually and re-seated it back in the library. The robot started initializing and library became online and ready.
