Symptoms

Library unable to communicate with ACSLS Server during installation.

When an attempt was made to vary CAP 1.1.5.2.0 OFFLINE in SLC during initialisation  :-

1112 - (7X)
CAP in use by another requester, cap=1,1,5,2,0
(Errors Started - 2016-06-27 13:01:36 Errors Stopped - 2016-06-29 10:16:42)

Cause

Setting must be made.

Solution

Use the following command from the CLI.  Library requires to be set offline first.

partition set
 Where it is either HLI or SCSI
 This sets a non-partitioned library to HLI or SCSI (i.e. partitionId 0).

 WARNING: If there are any drives in the media validation pool, they must be removed beforehand. See the media Validation poolSetup command for more information.
