Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2151195.1 : FS System: fsstatsdigest utility SAN LUN UI Number of Write Commands May Produce Incorrect Results
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-12418249101> Applies to:Oracle FS1-2 Flash Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsWhen using the fsstatsdigest utility to process the statistics, the fsstatsdigest utility will create a file called San_Lun_Ui.xlsx. Viewing file San_Lun_Ui.xlsx and mouse click on tab "Write Second" will show the total number of write commands performed per second for each LUN on the system. The total number of write commands performed for each LUN may produce incorrect results. CauseThe cause is due to a calculation error with the fsstatsdigest utility that may result in the total number of write and read commands performed for some LUNs to be exactly the same. SolutionThe fix will be included in FS1-2 release 060204 build 032801 and higher. If your system is below this release the workaround is to download file fsstatsdigest_rw_fix attached to this document that contains the fix for the issue and use the utility in place of the fsstatsdigest utility that is included in the Oracle FS Statistics for Linux. For more information on how to download Oracle FS Statistics for Linux please refer to the Oracle Flash Storage System Statistics Tools User's Guide and go to page 26 section "Install the fsstatsdigest Tools".
