ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
E5MS 46.0 E1T1-B cards not appearing in E5-MS shelf layout

E1T1-B cards (part num 870-2970-01) are not shown in the shelf layout on E5-MS. The E5-MS is on Rel 46.0.1.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The card should be shown in E5MS GUI Fault Management

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Check that an E1T1-B card (P/N 870-2970-01) is installed in the system
2. Check the related slot in E5MS. The slot will be empty.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot see the complete Eagle Installed cards in the E5MS GUI.

Cause

The cause of the issue is that E5MS does not recognize the card E5-E1T1-B (870-2970-01) as a recognized Eagle Card.

The E5-E1T1-B card (870-2970-01) has a different part number than the E5-E1T1 Card.
The E5-E1T1-B card is not recognized by E5MS release 46.0.1 because:
1. Its image is not present in /Tekelec/WebNms/images
2. E5-MS does not have this part number available as a recognized Eagle card.

Issue History and Details
This same issue was raised earlier in Bug 19105373 but the E5-E1T1-B card was not added to E5-MS DB at that time because of reason that there was no mention of this card in Eagle Hardware Documentation.
Referring to Eagle Hardware Document for Release 46; please find below the reference of this card:
Oracle® Communications - EAGLE Hardware Reference Release 46.1 E58716 Revision 1 Page 76:
The types of LIMs presently available are:
• E5-E1T1 (P/N 870-1873-xx) and E5-E1T1-B (P/N 870-2970-xx) cards.
• E5-ATM (P/N 870-1872-xx) and E5-ATM-B (P/N 870-2972-xx) cards.
• HCMIM (P/N 870-2671-xx)
 
This issue is first explained in the following bug:
Bug 19105373 : [230606]E5MS_45:CARDS NOT/INCORRECTLY DISPLAYED ON THE CHASSIS VIEW
The card was not updated under that bug because there was no reference to that card in Eagle hardware documentation at that time.

Solution

Workaround is mentioned Below:

cd /Tekelec/WebNMS/conf/tekelec
vi EagleCardNameNumMap.xml

Insert the following lines before the last line in the file.
  
  E5-E1T1-B
  870-2970-01
  card_E5-E1T1.jpg
  1
  
Save the file
Restart the E5MS Application:
service e5msService restart
