Symptoms

With the storage network interface ipmpap0 or stor_ipmp0 , depending on when your system was built, listed as a public interface in oifcfg it causes CRS to consider it as a viable candidate to failover a nodeapp vip . This is obviously no proper as that network is not accessible outside of the SuperCluster.

bondeth0 140.28.40.0 global public
ib0 192.168.8.0 global cluster_interconnect
ib1 192.168.8.0 global cluster_interconnect
ipmpapp0 192.168.20.0 global public => it should not be here

Changes

None, all systems had this by default

Cause

The inclusion of this command in the installation instructions. It has since been removed:

oifcfg setif -global ipmpapp0/192.168.20.0:public

Solution

oifcfg delif -global stor_ipmp0
