SymptomsThis document assists with resolving invalid media labels being found in the library logs. CauseThe SL500 logs show that the customer has invalid labels on either their cleaning tapes and/or their data tapes that aren't supported by the drives that are installed in the SL500 library. SolutionThe customer needs to be made aware of these invalid labels on their media and we should recommend that they change the labels on their affected media. For the LTO drives in the SL500 the following labels would be valid: HP or IBM LTO2 drives would only support the CU, L1 and L2 media domain IDs Note: The "CU" media domain ID should only be used for Universal LTO Cleaning Media and the L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, and L6 media domain ID labels should only be used for the customer's data tapes.
