Symptoms

ilom logs show :

System Reset System
Component:SP1/SPM1 (Service Processor)
Power to SP1/SPM1 (Service Processor) has been reset by OESHM Server, Reason: TLI

Changes

 None. Happens when running initial Oracle SuperCluster  release of OESHM

Cause

 Bug 23153732 - ILOM+ reports obj_absent for <topLevelIdentity> element values

Solution

 Download <Patch 23323545>: OESHM 1.1 IDR FOR SUPERCLUSTER M7 and follow the README.

 

1) Determine the Origin URI of your exa-family IPS repository.

$ pkg publisher exa-family

Publisher: exa-family
Alias:
Origin URI: file:///net/192.168.28.1/export/IPS-repos/exafamily/repo/
SSL Key: None
SSL Cert: None
Client UUID: e53c10ec-fde7-11e5-9952-ed39ccb5d543

Enabled: Yes

 2) Add the new package to the repository. 

$ pkgrecv -s ./oeshm-1.1.0-r1075-sc-sparc.p5p -d file:///net/192.168.28.1/export/IPS-repos/exafamily/repo/ system/management/eshm/osc

 3) Rebuild the search indexes on the repository.

$ pkgrepo rebuild -s file:///net/192.168.28.1/export/IPS-repos/exafamily/repo/

4) Refresh the publisher on on the Master Control Domain.

$ pkg refresh exa-family

5) Update to the new package on the Master Control Domain.

$ pkg update pkg://exa-family/system/management/eshm/osc

6) Display the ESHM service state and confirm it is online.

$ svcs svc:/application/management/eshm/osc:default
STATE STIME FMRI
online Apr_12 svc:/application/management/eshm/osc:default

 7) If the STATE is maintenance, clear and enable the service. 

$ svcadm clear svc:/application/management/eshm/osc:default
$ svcadm enable svc:/application/management/eshm/osc:default
