Symptoms

When configuring new user belonging to a group having all “Diameter Maintenance Permissions” activated, it was noticed that this new user doesn't have the possibility to enable/disable the connections one by one under the "SOAM GUI -> Main Menu -> Diameter -> Maintenance -> Connections" menu. The per connection enable/disable buttons of the "SOAM GUI -> Main Menu -> Diameter -> Maintenance -> Connections" menu are greyed.

Cause

Investigations showed that the per connection permission control goes along with the so called CONNECTION_PERM (Diameter Configuration Permissions -> Connection -> View) while the disable/enable all permission goes along with so called CONNECTIONSTATUS_PERM (Diameter Maintenance Permissions -> Connection -> View).

A Bug has been created in order to include the per connection permission control into the "Diameter Maintenance Permissions" set.

Solution

As workaround, activate the view permission for the following menu "Diameter Configuration Permissions -> Connections" on the concerned group permissions level.

Please note that activating the "Diameter Configuration Permissions -> Connections:view" permissions will give access to the "SOAM GUI -> Main Menu -> Diameter -> Configuration -> Connection" menu.
