Cause

When Host is on SP can't access DIMM info. The race condition is caused by hardware limitation.

This is explained in following unpublished bug

<Bug 20774728> - RESET SP TO FACTORY DEFAULT SOMETIMES WILL CAUSE MEMORY SHOW 0G

Solution

Workaround

Login to ILOM Serial Console and restart ILOM

1. Restart the ILOM:

-> reset /SP

If you still see same problem even after reset of ILOM , Please contact Oracle Support.

As per <Bug 20774728>, we may need to power off the host if reset SP doesn't help:

@ When Host is on SP can't access DIMM info. The race condition is caused by
@ hardware limitation.
@ I suggest the workaround is powering off host. The bug should be closed.
