Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2144719.1 : Diameter Signaling Router (DSR), Maximum Allowed Active Mediation Templates Reset to 15 After Upgrade
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-12570480321> Applies to:Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 6.0 to DSR 8.0.0 [Release DSR 6.0 to DSR 8.0]Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsFollowing a DSR software upgrade from 5.x to 6+, user is unable to add a new Active Template in Mediation. Error received indicates that the maximum has been reached. ChangesThis issue will be identified after DSR software upgrade, and will only affect customers who were licensed to extend the maximum number of Mediation templates to levels beyond 15. After DSR5.0, capacity increases are no longer available
CauseA change occurred in recent releases increasing the previous maximum of 5 active templates to a new value of 15. Over upgrade, this change is applied and overwrites the setting regardless of previous value. For those DSR 5.0 customers who had purchased extensions and were approved (based on traffic profile and other parameters) to values exceeding 15, the upgrade actually reduces their maximum. Note that this change only affects the action of new template addition; it does not change enforcement of Rules already active, even if the template count exceeds maximum. SolutionResolution is for Oracle to re-apply the extension procedure. Reference (Doc ID 1945658.1) "DSR: Increasing the Number of Active Templates for the Mediation Feature."
