Symptoms

LDAP protocol - An attempt was made to use nested netgroups within LDAP.  Top-level netgroup was recognized - underneath netgroups were not

 

Cause

Customer added the following parameter thinking it was needed:

netgroup_mapattr = memberNisNetgroup=cn

 

Solution

On the array, LDAP nested netgroups are supported without any need for any parameters being set.

Customer removed the added parameter and the nested netgroup feature then worked.
