Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Hardware) - Version EAGLE 3x.x and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For some reason, 3 x LIM-ATM cards drop at the same time. It happened 12 times since February

  3205 - LIMATM 4M ATMANSI
  3206 - LIMATM 4M ATMANSI
  3207 - LIMATM 4M ATMANSI

Cause

One card is likely creating some issue on the IMT bus
Because we see regularly the same 2 x obits from the 3 cards :

- pmt-mgr.c line 617 : it is about the communication processor having detected a failed card and as a result it is triggering the reboot of the card.

- iim_mgr.c line 633 : The IIM_MGR obit means IMT Integrity Monitor TAsk.

Actually, the 3 cards are saying they are another card.
See below example for the card 3205, where the hexa address for location 3205 is h'64.
You can see in the user data that there is an integrity problem as it says twice 74 and twice 64 instead of saying only 64.

Solution

Replace the card in slot 3205 first and verify the issue is resolved by monitoring.
