In this Document
Created from <SR 3-12507796511> Applies to:Oracle ZFS Storage ZS3-BA - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Sun Storage 7110 Unified Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Sun Storage 7210 Unified Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Sun Storage 7310 Unified Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Sun ZFS Storage 7120 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] 7000 Appliance OS (Fishworks) SymptomsThe user is a member of 25 groups currently. This was tested by creating 25 files on an NFS share with each file owned by a different group that the user is a member of. Confirmed by the test that the user can read 16 of the files but has "permission denied" for the remaining 9 files.
CauseLDAP is needed to control authentications when using more than 16 groups.
SolutionLDAP or Active Directory is needed for Solaris to avoid the 16 group limit.
