Symptoms

In an OKM Key Transfer Partner configuration, when attempting to import the export file onto the destination key transfer KMA, receiving the following error:

"Transfer format disallowed"

The following will be logged in the Audit Event Log:

CLIENT_ERROR_TRANSFER_FORMAT_DISALLOWED

Cause

 Export file format was incorrect.

Solution

 The export file format from the originating KMA transfer partner needs to correspond with the following table:

 

Software Version - Importing KMA FIPS Mode Only - Exporting OKM Cluster FIPS Mode Only - Importing OKM Cluster Export Format
2.0.2 or lower Off NA v2.0 or Default
2.0.2 or lower On NA v2.0
2.1 or higher Off Off v2.0 or Default
2.1 or higher On Off v2.0
2.1 or higher Off On v2.1 (FIPS)
2.1 or higher On On v2.1 (FIPS)
or Default
