Symptoms

The symptoms for this issue are the same as documented in 2090597.1 - ldmd Dumps Core With Error Message "timeout waiting for op HVctl_op_hello".

Cause

After 734 days when a PPAR/Pdom power cycles, OVM goes into maintenance mode and ldm commands become unavailable. This issue will be experienced in Hypervisor version 1.12 - 1.15.

M10-x: With XCP2210 or higher.

Mx-32: With 9.0.2.e and higher.

Solution

Please apply the newest XCP/ILOM firmware and power cycle the PPAR's/Pdom's once the flashupdate is complete.
