Symptoms

Clock A for Card is not becoming Normal. In normal condition, this should be IS-NR.

There are frequent alarms 0021 in card regarding clock.

Alarm Details:

6090.0026 CARD 1307 IPGHC Clocks A and B for card normal
  ****16-02-06 14:01:00****
6018.0021 * CARD 1307 IPGHC Clock A for card failed, Clock B normal
  ****16-02-06 14:00:00****

Impact: This has no traffic impact but both the clocks on the card should be up.

Cause

The clock alarm is appearing only for a single card for one clock.

The card reinsert did not solve the issue. Hence it is related to a faulty hardware.

No other card has clock alarm so this is not related to external clock or the MASP cards.

The card showing alarm is re-seated but the alarm still remains.

Hence it is concluded that the issue is with card hardware.

Solution

Replace card that is declared faulty.

See if the UAM 0021 is cleared for the card.
