Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Hardware) - Version EAGLE 45.0 and later
Tekelec

Symptoms

Entering SPC in the command ent-cspc, is aborted:
Expected Behavior: Customer expects that Point codes should be added.
Impact: No traffic impact. This is a new configuration being implemented by customer.

Cause

Although the Spare point code (s-xxxxx) and full point code (yyyyy) belong to ITU-N, they will have different NI values (Network Indicator)

For ITU National Binary Value: 0010
For ITU National Spare Binary Value: 0011

Hence system considers them to be from different network types. So unable to add them in a single CSPC.

Solution

1. Turn ON ANSI/ITU conversion feature
2. Re enter CSPC with point codes from different networks.
