Symptoms

One or more fuses send out alarms in main shelf.

Changes

 

Cause

Cause : There is two causes of this alarm..

  1. Its may be due to Hardware, such as a faulty fuse
  2. It may be a False Alarm, follow instructions from "Fake Fuse Alarms" (Doc ID 2076140.1) to confirm. 

Solution

Troubleshooting Steps to clear the alarm:

  1. Verify the all slots (xx01 - xx18) of Shelf getting Fuse alarm and replace the Fuse
  2. Remove and replace Fuses of all slot (xx01 - xx18) one by one
  3. Reset the MASP Card
  4. Switch Over the MASP Card
  5. Reset the MDAL Card
  6. Replace the MDAL Card
  7. Remove the Backplane Alarm Cable and insert into other port of backplane and verify the status
  8. Replace the FUSE alarm cable
  9. Replace the FAP module component ( FAP_DB_A, FAP_JB, FAP_AB, FAP_DB_B ) with other Extension frame FAP Panel Component
  10. Remove and replace Fuses of all slot (xx01 - xx18) one by one
  11. Replace the FAP Panel Module.
