Created from <SR 3-12541798181>

Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Hardware) - Version EAGLE 44.0.0 to EAGLE 46.2 [Release EAGLE 44.0 to EAGLE 46.0]
Tekelec

Symptoms

UAM 0901 Card DB load timeout, check GLS SS observed on ATMHC cards.
Impact: Cards fail to load DB.
Expected Behavior: Cards should load DB.

Cause

GWS tables may not be updated with most recent changes in system status. This results in cards showing in transition.

System is hitting a bug If following conditions are true:

1. Customer has Integrated GLS feature Turned ON in rtrv-ctrl-feat

Integrated GLS 893038901 on ----

2. Card TYPE LIMATM Loaded with GPL ATMHC (check in rept-stat-card:mode=full:loc=<location of card with alarm>

CARD VERSION TYPE GPL PST SST AST
  4117 137-010-000 LIMATM ATMHC IS-NR Active -----
ALARM STATUS = ** 0901 Card DB load timeout, check GLS SS

3. There are any changes in Gateway Screening (GWS) rules and the card is unable to get those changes updated in required time.

This is explained in the following bug:
BUG 19109329 - [233647]Card DB load timeout (GWS not loading)

Solution

Solution is to upgrade to Eagle Release 46.2.0-65.28.0 or higher.

To implement the workaround, please execute the following steps:

rept-stat-trbl:display=timestamp
rept-stat-card:mode=full:loc=<location of cards which show UAM 0901>
Rtrv-ls:lsn=<linkset names that are identified to be on cards with UAM 0901>
rtrv-stp
rtrv-ctrl-feat

Change Screening on all the linksets identified above to none:

chg-ls:lsn=<linkset names that are identified to be on cards with UAM 0901>:scrn=none
chg-ls:lsn=<linkset names that are identified to be on cards with UAM 0901>:scrn=none

Verify that cards are out of transition state i.e. the GLS alarm has cleared.

Enable Screening again on card. Make sure that the same screening options are turned ON that were observed in the rtrv-ls command above and same screen sets are used.

e.g.

Chg-ls:lsn=linkset1:scrn=scrset1:gwsa=on:gwsm=on
chg-ls:lsn=linkset2:scrn=scrset2:gwsa=off:gwsm=on
Chg-ls:lsn=linkset3:scrn=scrset1:gwsa=on:gwsm=off
