Symptoms

Customer attempted adding trap recipient but failed with following:

SL3000> snmp addTrapRecipient traplevel* host xxx.xxx.xxx.190 version v2c community Pub1icESM

Error Number 3301
Text Failure from device - resultCode: 4102 - resultText: Error opening trap config file returned from snmp addTrapRecipient request

Assist customer via webex using 'remote' and 'admin' user ids, but command simply will not take.

FE also used 'service' id with same result.

Changes

No changes made to customer's environment.

Cause

Trap configuration file failed to open.

Solution

FE rebooted library.

Verified changes were successful.
