Symptoms

When attempting to set the exported property to true on a replicated share, we receive the following error:

shares replication source-000 package-015> select user_home
shares replication source-000 package-015 user_home> set exported=true
exported = true (uncommitted)
:shares replication source-000 package-015 user_home> commit
error: invalid property value "user" for "com.sun.ak:default_user": Unknown or invalid user

Cause

From the error report, we check the user in the share is not the default:

    default_permissions = 755
    default_sparse = false
    default_user = user

From filesystem, all the files belong to non root user:

The problem is that users are not created on the replication target head

Create the required users on the replication target appliance.
