SymptomsOn Oracle Data Base Appliance with Internal ASR Managers, all supported releases, after a successful ODA software upgrade, the Automatic Service Request functionality stops working. FROM 12.1.2.3 and previous versions TO 12.1.2.4 and later Cause ASR Manager 5.x has a major change that OASM requirement was removed, there are some issues migrating config files from 4.X to 5.X ASR Managers. Solution1) Before reconfiguring the ASR Manager please make sure that the ASR Manager service and processes are stopped: From ODA Base (Node 0): #service asrm status #service asrm stop
#ps -ef | grep asrmanager #kill -6 to the PID# of the process.
2) Reinstall the ASR functionality: From ODA Base menu # oakcli configure asr
Please enter 1 to setup Internal ASR 2 to setup External ASR 3 to Deinstall ASR 0 to Exit
b) then Select 1 to setup Internal ASR, ASR Manager Installation, registration and components activation.
