Symptoms

4031 and 3016 error and the VSM job aborts.

Cause

Defective RFID transceiver writing corrupted data into the RFID chip in the media.

Solution

T10000B/C/D - FSC 4031 along with 3016 FSC on the same mount. This may relate back to a bad RFID transceiver in a drive. Check to see what drive the affected tape was in prior to the 4031 and 3016 error. You need to check the mount history and find the first occurrence of 4031 and 3016 on the tape. Reference SR 3-12352830511.
